Womart by British council & face

WoMart, an initiative of British Council & Face Pakistan, is a virtual market place built on dreams and hopes of working women from small villages and towns of Pakistan. They connect entrepreneurs and artisans with the customers with a vision to empower women across Pakistan.

In this project, I worked with Berserk Media Production to give life to a series of artisan stories which explored their lives and crafts. To achieve the desired results, we had to go through two stages. The first phase involved extracting artisan stories and recording training sessions in Islamabad and the second phase saw our team traveling to the communities of selected artisans (Sindh, Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan) and documenting how these craftswomen balanced their home and work lives.
